This talk will highlight how the brain regulates metabolism, including food intake, energy expenditure, and body weight homeostasis. We study integrative neural circuits linking the cerebral cortex, reward system, and the hypothalamus, as well as how genetic and environmental factors shape metabolic control. By combining multimodal human and animal data, our goal is to uncover disease-driving mechanisms and develop precision interventions for obesity and metabolic disorders.
