Digital Service Innovation and Servitization: Evolution, Trends, and Research Opportunities
This research talk explores the emerging and rapidly evolving fields of Digital Service Innovation (DSI) and Digital Servitization (DS). Positioned at the intersection of technological and business model innovation, DSI refers to the development of new or improved services enabled by digital technologies, while DS describes the broader organizational transformation from product-centric to service-centric business models driven by digital capabilities. In this talk, Dr. Coreynen will trace the historical evolution of digital servitization, highlight the key research streams that have shaped the field—drawing on his own research as illustrative examples—and identify promising directions for future research.
主讲人简介：
Dr. Wim Coreynen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategy at Zhejiang University School of Management (ZJUSOM) in Hangzhou, China. His research focuses on innovation—particularly business model innovation through services and technology—entrepreneurship, and intellectual property management. His work has been published in leading journals such as Research Policy and Technovation, and in books like The Palgrave Handbook of Servitization and Data Science for Entrepreneurship.
