Dr. Yermek Aldabergenov is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Fudan University.
He got his Ph.D. from the Tokyo Metropolitan University in 2018. His research interest
lies in inflationary cosmology, modified gravity, supersymmetry and supergravity.

讲座摘要:
When considering various spontaneously broken symmetries of particle physics in the early Universe, the symmetry breaking process is usually assumed to take place either before or after the observable inflation. In this talk I will discuss a less studied alternative scenario, where symmetry breaking happens in the middle of the observable inflation, facilitated by nonminimal coupling of the symmetry-breaking scalar to gravity. I will discuss two different options - scalar curvature coupling, and Gauss-Bonnet coupling. Both cases can lead to interesting phenomenology such as amplified scalar and tensor perturbations originating from non-trivial inflationary history.
