On December 12th, ShanghaiTech successfully held the first competition of the 3rd Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit in the auditorium of SPST. The topic of this competition focused on new energy, new materials and intelligent manufacturing, attracting a total of 15 student groups and 8 faculty groups to participate in the event. The group members included not only professors, researchers, graduates and undergraduates from SPST and SCA, but also teams from Shanghai Advanced Research Institute and Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics. Jiang Ge, Vice President and Executive Director of SIAIS attended the competition and delivered the opening remarks.
The first, second and third prize of the student groups and the faculty groups were ultimately decided by joint evaluation of 16 judges. They were from IDG Capital, Meridian Capital, Genesis MedTech, Shanghai Atlas Venture Capital, Atlas Capital, New Alliance Capital, Innovation Hub of Merck China, Qingcheng New Material Technology, Shanghai Alliance Investment, Supratec Group, Zoo Capital , Horizons Ventures, Richland Capital, Yushan Capital, Ferry Venture Capital and PNC. The judges provided valuable comments and suggestions on each project, and some projects immediately attracted investors’ attention as potential targets.
