Our faculty team, with average age of 39, is at the prime time of their academic career. ShanghaiTech offers a number of international faculty development programs to help them to succeed. Faculty members have the opportunities to participate in the programs in cooperation with Babson, MIT, Olin, Oxford, UC Berkeley, and UPenn, to develop their teaching experience, academic leadership and expand network. We also invite professional organizations home and abroad to our campus to give workshop and training sessions. In June 2018, the Mobile Summer Institute (MoSI) held a weeklong onsite workshop for 40 tenure-track professors and management staff. MoSI team is composed of veteran teaching development professionals from famous American universities, aiming to improve the quality of STEM education.
