The second competition of the 3rd Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit was successfully held

On December 13th, ShanghaiTech successfully held the second competition of the 3rd Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit in the Y Building. The topic of this competition focused on biomedicine and healthcare, attracting a total of 11 student groups and 24 faculty groups to participate in the event. The group members included not only professors, researchers, graduates and undergraduates from SLST, SIAIS and iHuman, but also teams from Zhongshan Hospital, Shanghai 6th People's Hospital, Shanghai General Hospital, Center for Excellence in Molecular Cell Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Jiang Ge, Vice President and Executive Director of SIAIS attended the competition and delivered opening remarks.



The prizes were ultimately decided by joint evaluation of 24 judges. They were from Boehringer Ingelheim, TriArm Therapeutics, Steinbeis China, BOHE Angel Fund, Guokexinyan International Technology Transfer Corporation, Jing Medicine, Hrain Biotechnology, Sequoia Capital, Bloomage Biotech, Gene Tech, LYFE Capital, Genesis MedTech, Jiuyou Fund, Kaitai Capital, Shanghai Alliance Investment, New Alliance Capital, Start HubShanghai Pharma, TF Capital, Zhangjiang Group, and CACA Committee on Cancer Public Education.

 


Two first prizes were awarded: one to a faculty group and one to a student group. At the second prize level, four were awarded: two of them to faculty groups and two to student groups. There were six third prizes: three went to faculty groups and three to student groups. 

 

The judges provided valuable comments and suggestions on each project, and approached group leaders to discuss potential projects.
