On July 22, Yassine Lakhnech, president of Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), visited ShanghaiTech University. Li Ruxin, party secretary of ShanghaiTech, met with the delegation. As this marked UGA’s first visit to ShanghaiTech, both sides expressed their hope to use the visit as an opportunity to establish cooperation in education, research, and academic exchange.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Shanghai HIgh repetitioN rate XFEL and Extreme light facility (SHINE), research facilities in human-machine collaboration and robotics at the School of Information Science and Technology, as well as the Institute of Mathematical Sciences. Representatives from the participating units and the Office of International Affairs attended discussions with the delegation.

It consistently ranks among the top universities in France in major international rankings.
