On January 10th Babson College President Dr. Kerry Healey visited ShanghaiTech, together with Mr. Fred Kiang, member of the Babson Board of Trustees. Following Vice President Gong Jinkang’s detailed introduction of ShanghaiTech, Dean May Lee of School of Entrepreneurship and Management (SEM) talked about the school’s latest developments and reflected on the ongoing communication and dialogue between Babson and ShanghaiTech. Dr. Healey invited ShanghaiTech to join Babson’s “Collaborative”, which is a membership organization that brings together educational institutions seeking to build and grow entrepreneurship education, and she also proposed a dual degree collaboration, along with executive education and student exchange.
President Jiang Mianheng joined the meeting and welcomed the visitors. He said he wished that the two universities would have substantial cooperation by leveraging Babson’s strength in entrepreneurship education.
Babson College is a private business school in Wellesley, Massachusetts, established in 1919. Babson's central focus on entrepreneurship education has made it the most prestigious entrepreneurship college in the United States. In 2016, two SEM professors participated in the Price-Babson Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators Program.
