Royal Dutch Shell CTO Visits ShanghaiTech

On November 7th, Royal Dutch Shell Chief Technology Officer Yuri Sebregts led a delegation to visit ShanghaiTech University.

President Jiang extended a warm welcome to the visitors and expressed his wishes that the two sides would cooperate in energy efficiency and environmental protection on the basis of their existing solid partnership. Yuri Sebregts also expressed his strong willingness to boost collaboration between Shell and ShanghaiTech.

Shell Principal Scientist Alexander Van Der Mate, Long Range Research Program Manager Sander Van Bavel, Senior Scientist Joost Smits and Shell China Manager for Innovation & New Energy Technologies Deng Qun attended the meeting, along with ShanghaiTech Vice President Li Ruxin, School of Physical Science and Technology Vice Dean Liu Zhi, Office of Research Administration Vice Director Wang Jiang and Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI), CAS Research Fellow Sun Yuhan.

ShanghaiTech and SARI, CAS have in cooperation with Royal Dutch Shell for many years, exploring leading technologies in energy & environment.
