19 undergraduate class of 2018 students arrived at UC Berkeley on July 26th to start the summer session. The program lasts three weeks, covering social science subjects such as American studies and artistic appreciation taught by senior scholars from UC Berkeley. The students have adjusted well to the local lifestyle and teaching methods. Participating students said that they are enjoying the opportunity to study at Berkeley classes and experience the open and diversified culture of the Bay area.
UC Berkeley is a top public research university in the United States. In October 2012, ShanghaiTech signed MOU with UC Berkeley to cooperate in education and research. As the communication and exchange increases between the two universities, more students and faculty will benefit from the collaboration.
